Project Sarangi

Project Sarangi is a Non-Profit organization that understands and values the conservation of traditional Nepali music and instruments. With the realization that traditional Sarangi is a dying art form and the motivation to uphold and rejuvenate such dying art-form was the reason Project Sarangi was initiated. Project Sarangi aims to encourage and mainstream Nepali folk music and traditional instruments into the modern Nepali and Global music scene.

Objectives

Project Sarangi aims to create a favorable environment to make Sarangi sustainable and popular among the younger generation, by creating awareness and easy access to standardized Sarangi. With the familiarization and access of Sarangi to the younger generation we believe that it will create a stable platform for Sarangi within the domestic and the international music spectrum.

n order to create awareness Project Sarangi aims to create a nurturing environment for the younger generation to learn and access Sarangi through various portals like online classes, workshops and trainings. We also aim to be able to organize different events like orchestras, performance that will endorse Sarangi and other traditional Nepalese instrument while also having fun.
