Jamarko is an initiative by Project Sarangi Center to promote and preserve Nepali folk instruments as well as to create a platform to showcase the versatility of these instruments to the people.
Every year we organize “Jamarko-Jatra”- a folk festival in vision to create a performing platform for the ethnic folk instruments of Nepal and this pubic event is free to all.
Due to Globalization and commercialization of music and entertainment, the essence of traditional music is facing extinction. Project Sarangi wants to utilize the global platform and create collaboration with different genres of music around the world.
Every year we try to reach to the core culture and bring out the dying instruments and this year too, we are bringing the folk instrument from deeper parts of Nepal.
